Privacy Policy

Last updated August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what Arkive ("we," "us") collects when you use arkive.cl and related services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Arkive is an independent platform for trading-card plays on a digital board. For privacy questions, contact brandonsaintmirlo@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account data: name, username, email address, and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.

Profile data you choose to add: avatar image, social handles, and other profile fields the Service offers.

Content you create: plays (drafts and published), titles, summaries, board positions, and related metadata.

Technical data: IP address and basic request logs as needed to operate, secure, and debug the Service; language preference and session token stored in your browser (for example in localStorage or cookies we set for sign-in).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data).

3. How we use information

To create and authenticate your account, keep you signed in, and let you manage your profile and plays.

To operate the board, publish community content, show public profiles, and enforce quotas and security.

To respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. What is public

By default, published plays and public profile information (username, display name if shown, avatar, and social links you add) can be seen by anyone who visits the Service.

Your email address is not shown on public profiles. Drafts stay private to your account unless you publish them.

5. Storage and processors

Account and play data are stored in our application databases (for example MongoDB operated for Arkive).

Avatar images may be stored with an object-storage provider (for example Cloudflare R2) and served via a CDN URL.

Card catalogue images and data may be loaded from third-party catalogue services. Those services have their own policies when you interact with their infrastructure.

We keep personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms. After deletion requests, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, subject to backups and legal holds.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use essential storage in your browser to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. These are required for the Service to work as expected.

We do not currently use non-essential advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required.

7. Sharing

We share data only with infrastructure providers that host or deliver the Service (database, storage, hosting), under obligations to protect it; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; or with your direction (for example when you publish content or link a social profile).

If the Service is ever transferred as part of a reorganization, users will be notified and this Policy will continue to apply or be replaced with notice.

8. Your choices and rights

You can edit profile fields and social links from your account. You can change or remove your avatar.

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, or deletion of your account and associated personal data, by emailing brandonsaintmirlo@gmail.com from the address on the account. We may need to verify that the request comes from you.

Depending on where you live (including under Chilean Law 19.628 and, where applicable, other privacy laws), you may have additional rights such as correction, opposition, or portability. Contact us to exercise them.

You can clear local session and language data from your browser at any time.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country). If you believe we have collected personal data from a child without proper consent, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

We may process and store information in Chile and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or communicated through the Service when appropriate. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
